An arthrodesis toilet seat (also called an arthrodesis spectacle) is a specialized aid for people who can no longer bend one leg normally due to a stiffening (arthrodesis) or extreme restriction of movement in the hip or knee. These attachments have a one-sided bevel that allows the affected leg to remain in an extended position while sitting safely.
